There are both primary and secondary schools on the estate belonging to the West Grantham Academy.

  • Youth centre

Since January 2010 we have visited all the homes on the estate using a questionnaire to get an insight into how a church could impact the community for good.

The results of our questionnaire revealed three areas of need on the estate:

1. Insufficient free activities for children
2. Anti social behaviour
3. Untidy properties- broken fences/ litter etc.

We partner with Spitalgate Primary School with our ‘Earlesfield Explorers’ Club and Holiday clubs have also proved immensely popular.

We have also been involved in community action with fence fixing, litter picking and general tidy ups all featuring on the list, some with added help from teams from Mississippi, USA! Many more initiatives are in the pipeline!

Our research revealed that the church:
1. Must not be boring
2. Must include the children
3. Must create a sense of community

Earlesfield Community Church seeks to fulfil these requirements whilst being authentically Christian and basing all we do on the Bible. Come along and see for yourself!!
